Flycycle Accepted to MAPC Bike Parking Program!

We are pleased to announce that Flycycle has been selected as an approved bicycle rack for the Massachusetts Metropolitan Planning Council (MAPC) Collective Purchasing program

This year, MAPC expanded the program by teaming up with all 12 of the other regional planning agencies throughout Massachusetts, hoping to encourage communities to install bike racks in business districts and public buildings, where the bike-parking demand is greater than supply. Entities eligible to purchase bike racks under this program include all 351 municipalities in Massachusetts, the MBTA, DCR and regional transit authorities.

Key attributes of the program include:

  • Discounted pricing — typically 20-40 percent off our vendors' regular pricing.

  • Joint purchasing under M.G.L. c.30B by MAPC. Eligible communities simply sign on to our procurement to participate.

Jeff was recently interviewed by Prompt Inc on what makes being a startup in the Boston area so special. It goes without saying that we love our local ecosystem!

What is the best thing about working around Boston and Cambridge?

“Around Boston and Cambridge, people really value quality design and ideas, and they show their passion and excitement when a project inspires them.  There’s also a genuine interest in innovation, it’s almost immersive. So, when you get someone looking at your project here, they truly care about the topic and subject.”
